My Cancer Story

For a year, I underwent childhood cancer treatment; I was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin's lymphoma, which was a specific point in my life where I vividly remember the way I felt. The diagnosis changed the way I perceived life. I felt before my diagnosis, I never really knew what a precious privilege that living is; I felt I had taken my health for granted. I think I realized this in March of 2020 when the doctor told me I had cancer. Ever since weeks led into months, I was waiting for that spark of happiness I once had before my diagnosis.

My goal for these photographs is to convey the feeling in my story of never knowing if I will have the same quality of life again, yet somehow finding the strength to push through.
